EIGHT FASHIONISTA TRAVEL NECESSITIES
SMART BIRDY SUITCASE
Smart birdy is an easy, efficient and stylish way to streamline travel. Whether you choose to purchase an individual roll-away suitcase or a luggage set it’s easy to see the suitcase was designed by a woman, for women. This TSA approved stackable luggage is one of a kind suitcase that makes it easy to roll, pack and stack. I love my birdy and find it to be one of the best carry ons I’ve purchased in the last decade. Another great feature offered by the birdy boutique is personalized concierge service.
DAGNE DOVER TOILETRY CASE
The best toiletry case- it is mindful, smart, small, lightweight, professional and organized. It is also lightweight, recyclable and a great compact option. Every single bag is ultra-functional and meant to help travelers with problem solving organizational problems on the go. The two options I would recommend are the small hunter or the mila repreve.
OLUKAI PEHEAU SLIP ON SNEAKERS
Slip on sneakers are essential when catching flights. A shoe that you can easily slip on and off while going through security can be a game changer and a huge time saver. It’s important the shoe is also comfortable and easy to move in so skip the heels, boots and save them for the events. Mobility, comfort and accessibility is more important than the cutest designer shoe in this situation; however, I would never suggest anything that isn’t also cute too. I am always looking for the perfect balance.
BOMBAS COMPRESSION SOCKS
Being on your feet all day exploring, catching flights or on a long flight can leave your feet feeling achy, tired and irritated. I like to avoid swollen feet whenever possible. A simple way to do that is compression socks. These socks are a simple, affordable way to help circulation while reducing swelling. This brand also has an amazing mission, which helps those experiencing homelessness. For every pair of socks purchased, a pair of socks is donated to those in need.
BELLROY TRAVEL FOLIO
Bellroy is a certified B Corporation. All products are made from sustainably produced fabric and environmentally certified leather in Australia. This travel folio keeps all the essentials on hand and zipped away when you don’t. Bellroy has thought of everything from a passport sleeve to a micropen. I used this on my last trip and it made traveling a breeze. I highly recommend this for frequent fliers. The company also offers easy mobile check out and returns, which makes shopping with them a breath of fresh air.
POLARIZED SUNGLASSES (COSTA, QUAY HIGHLY RECOMMEND)
A pair of high quality polarized sunglasses for special activities on the water, sensitive eyes or constantly changing climates is a travel necessity. Costa and Quay are my two top choices for polarized sunnies. Costa is made for fishermen by fishermen for fishing, boating and water activities so if you’re in warm climates or the tropics this is great. If you’re looking for it’s slightly more affordable cousin I’d recommend Quay Australia. This is amazing quality for the price point and does a phenomenal job protecting the eyes from the sun’s harmful rays.
TYMO CORDLESS STRAIGHTENER (OR CURLER)
Depending on who you asked I was either blessed or cursed with the infamous frizzy curls of my ancestors. When I am in the tropics if I want calm the frizz so I keep a few hair tools and products on hand. One of the best accessories I’ve found for traveling is Tymo because of it’s cordless charge ahead option as well as its price point. I like the mini straightener accessory, but the curler is another great option too. If you’d also look to purchase a small compact blowdryer too I would recommend the T3 afar travel dryer.
CADENCE
Magnetic, refillable, travel containers for toiletries that are TSA approved. This has to be my number 1 travel item MVP for so many reasons. Rather than creating a mess in a toiletry bag I can easily fill these containers with everything I need in a beautiful honeycomb shape design, pop it into a pouch and be on my way. I can not recommend this product enough.
